Yes, I was anorexic at 15yrs old & almost died one time. I think my kidney's were failing or something. I would say thank you to my parents for realizing that I looked half-dead & taking me to the doctors & I guess I should also say thanks to the shrinks too although I think they f**ked me up in different ways from screwing with my head a little too much but at least they figured out what my problem was.

Yeah, a few months back I went into a Diabetic seizure when I was sleeping (My blood sugar bottomed out) and luckily my Mom was staying over (I was taking her to the airport the next day) and she heard me thrashing about and called 911. All I know is I went to sleep like normal and woke up with 6 EMTs in my room and an IV in my arm...My blood sugar was 26 when they took it...Came pretty close to the point of no return and if she hadn't been there I may not be here now (Mom said I had stopped thashing about by the time they got there and had become really still). Never did have to go the hospital though...I came around as soon as they started the Glucose drop... Am very thankful to Mom and the EMTs!!

No, not me, but the man I love, yes. On January 14th, 2004, he was in a horrific car accident. He was on his way to work ( as a licensed electrician) and was driving on the highway in the northbound lane. He hit a patch of black ice, went through the median and into the southbound lane, and hit a semi truck, the kind with the 3 spouts on the back, right in the side, in the middle. He was driving a little Chevy Malibu ( his then girlfriends car. we met in 05). If you saw the pictures of the car afterward, you would for sure wonder how the hell he got out alive. ( I wish i had them but I don't). He didn't have his seatbelt on and the airbag did not deploy. He was thrown from the front seat into the back seat diagonally, breaking both his collar bones and bouncing his brain around his skull like a basketball, which resulted in his TBI ( traumatic Brain injury). But he survived! A passerby who had seen the accident pulled him out of the car. I guess he was barely breathing at that point. He was in a coma ( medically induced so his collar bones could heal) for about a month, and then in sort of a half there state for another 2 and then he came out of it at long last. He had to learn to walk again and climb stairs and ladders again. but he's alive and doing GREAT and tomorrow, he FINALLY gets to go back to the job he loves, his electrical work. YAY!!!
I thank the person who pulled him out of the wreck, and I thank God and his angels. I think God was watching and said " Oh no Eric, you still have too much to do down there, you aren't coming up here yet" so he sent his angels and they saved him.

Last year was in an auto accident. Down over an embankment. It was dark and I was on my way to work. 11p-7a. Unable to see my truck. Upside down. Truck totaled. Accident almost exact to the latest on the news. After 2 hours I was finally able to get my cell out of my pocket which was below my seat belt. My thumb was dislocated. I overcame the pain and ripped my pocket to do this. I called my husband to tell him. He was able to locate my truck. It took a while for him to go back and forth in an area till I could tell him when I heard his car the closest. He went down over the hill and found me. Called 911.

no i've never been in any near death situation...
however about four years ago a friend of mine was in a car accident and i was supposed to ride with her to my house before we went out after work, but at the last minute i decided to ride with another girl to my house instead, well on the way to my house we saw her car(but we didn't relize that it was her until we got to the party) when we got back to the accident site the police were telling her parents that had she had any passengers they would have been seriously injured or possibly killed, and we were like OMG we were supposed to be in that car....
my friend was fine no injuries what so ever just stiff and sore... all the damage was on the passenger side
so i guess my friend and my self owe our lives to wanting to listen to cds instead of the radio....

I don't think that I should be dead...or I would be.There are situations I've been in where I could've died and I thank God for saving me , getting me out of those situations and allowing me to spend more time here!

Dr. Choudry,..... WHOOT WHOOT!!!!!
I had a pulmonary embolism at 16 from poor circulation.
These embolisms are normally 99% fatal.
I am still here and enjoying my life.

then I got to know this wonderful person (thanks to her sis) and our friendship somehow took me right out of that black hole..
Had we not met, I think I'll be a complete screw up right now. Probably dead too =)
