I have egged a lot of houses in my time. I used uncooked eggs everytime as it makes much more of a mess.

uncooked. Rotten helps too. Just leave them out in the sun for a few days before your egging. BUT BE WARNED YOU VANDAL! it is illegal...

Why they hell would I use hard boiled? That wouldn't do anything besides get shell all over the place. You want it to go SPLAT!
