Yeah, it's down south of where I live, and it looks like a giant bedpan. Funding is in place and they are going to build *something* on that location. I personally hope it doesn't end up looking like the giant bedpan.

One launch has already taken place (sub-orbital) from the site. The necessary basic structures are in-place, already.

Very very cool! I'm buying a ticket and seeing the stars my friends. Will beat the hell out of years of NASA training.
My first real ambition as a 6yo was to be an astronaut, which set in motion my lifelong love of science and science fiction.
But as a Star Trek fan, that looks way to much like the station/port in the first episode of The Next Generation, 'Encounter at Farpoint'.

Hi. I had heard that it would be unusual looking. Very 21st century! I set it as my desktop background.
