I have a 10k gold ring I got a month ago and its been hitting up against one of pens a lot making scratches in it. Is there any way to get rid of them? They arnt deep but its still noticeable.. Jewlers get rid of them right? But I'd still like to have a lower cost solution.

If you take it to a jeweler to have it buffed, that would be the best and I can't imagine it would cost too much. Otherwise cleaning it at home with a solution will not take out the scratches.

Gold is a very soft metal. Buffing out all the minute scratches will eventually result in thinning of the ring, because each time you buff them out, you are taking layers of it off.

Jeweler's rouge. There are polishing cloths available, one side to remove scratches, the other to polish/shine the metal.
