I think every pregnant woman and those close to her worry about miscarriage at some time during their pregnancy. It is very normal. Unfortunately miscarriages are not preventable since the majority occur due to some abnormality in the development process. It does not make a miscarriage any easier to deal with, but it is unlikely that something a mother does or doesn't do will cause a miscarriage. Keeping healthy by eating nutritionally, sleeping enough, exercising, and getting regular prenatal care has been connected to lower risk of miscarriage. But sometimes moms doing everything right suffer a miscarriage and sometimes moms who eat poorly, drink, and smoke have a healthy baby. I suggest you confide in your sisters. They will be touched that you are worried over your unborn nieces/nephews and will probably be able to ease your fear some.

Congrtulations on becomingan aunty!! :)
Theres sadly nothing which anyone can do to prevent a miscarriage, the worst thing is.. not all the time do doctors even predict it in certain people.
I think your just paranoid, if there was anything wrong you would know, and you really cant help it.
Good luck im sure everything will be fine :) xxx

I'm 6 weeks pregnant and I'm scared I'm gonna miscarry too..I think most people worry about it when they're pregnant..just make sure they don't stress, they are taking a prenatal vitamin, that they get plenty of rest and that they listen to their body--meaning that when it says its tired, they stop and take a break. Also eat healthy, obviously no drugs smoking or alcohol, no over the counter medicines unless approved by a doctor (ex: tylenol is safe). Good luck!

other than eating right, keeping up simple activity, reducing strenuous activity, and not drinking, smoking or doing drugs, there really isn't anything to do to prevent miscarriage.
miscarriage is usually due to abnormalities in the chromosones of the fetus. the body miscarries to protect the mother and the reproductive organs.

there are some medical conditions (such as hughes syndrome that can cause miscarriage and stillbirth) that can be treated with aspirin, heparin and warafin but tests would need to be carried out before treatment can be started
