Many people who stutter develop facial tics and other body movements without realizing it. Go to your library and see if they have The Stuttering Foundation of America's book "Self Therapy for the Stutterer" to help you with the stuttering and the tic. If you want your own copy, go to www.stutteringhelp.org and find it in the estore.

My father stuttered for 87 years and I think the psychologist is full of turkey.Oprah had a show last year in which a couple of severe stutterers were incredibly improved to the point of sounding normal about 90 percent of the time. Do some research write the show whatever find out what you can.The fact is there are alot of theorys about stuttering.I know one thing is alot of them are really smart people.muscians ,airplane pilots, poets and the list goes on.Just dont let it affect your self esteem and keep looking for a cure to help you. A speech teacher helped my father when he was in his 40s up until then he often had so much trouble he resorted to carrying a pad and pen to write notes to run his errands at places such as the Deli or in shops.best wishes.I have never heard it called a tic before.

nothing, just go on with your life, you will stutter, doesnt matter what people think, you're your own person! :)
a tic is when someone gets nervous and stutters for no apparent reason, out of the blue, etc. etc.
