Im 16 and i got cought shoplifting at a grocery store (haha) it was something under 7 dollars. so they gave me court for OCT 29 2007
I live in Omaha Nebraska i stay in South O ,were Mostly all the latinos and blacks stay at. my girlfriend moved to west omaha were its mostly Rich white people.
I was visting west omaha because my girl moved there i just moved to nebraska 6 months ago from south central L.A. so the way i dress is diffrent
we went to this big grocery store and i was playing with her little brother i made the mistake of putting a body spray in my pocket ok moving on we went to the cashier we were in line when security came and got me (i was in line with money in my hand ready to pay)
the security didnt have uniform so i pushed him when he graved me then he told me who he was so i coaporated and went in the room with him they showed prejudice cause of the way i dress and they showed racism cause my dad didnt speak english.but other then that whats gonna happen to me?

They were so totally prejudiced and racist. In fact, you should sue them for it. It was their underlying racism that made you steal from the store. And if they weren't so prejudiced to the way you dress, then you wouldn't have assaulted one of the store's employees. What's going to happen to you is that you will have a juvenile record. Petit theft, and possibly assault 4.

Stop thinking you were profiled and treated differently because of your look or dress. Fact is, you had an item in your pocket. Were you arrested for this? You can probably plead to something lesser and just be on probation, no big deal. But don't ever do it again because then you would get jail time.

Don't they just give you a warning on a first offence? They usually ban you from the store for a few years also. Just remember this is on your record so think twice before you do something like that again, it's not worth it.

Unless you leave the store with the goods then you can't be done for shoplifting. At least that's how it works in the UK.
