consider a parallelogram of base b and corresponding altitude h.it can be cut into 2 cogruent triangles, the area of each remaining the same.So,area of one triangle will be
1/2 multiplied by its base multiplied by its height

area of triangle when height and base is given = 1/2 * base* height

when three sides r given do this
for eg side ab=8 cm side bc =6 cm side ca=4 cm

add side 1 + side 2 +side 3 and divide by 2=x

then do this root of x*x-side 1 * x-side2 *x - side three \

if its a equilateral triangle multiply the side by 1.732

area of triangle = (1/2)* base*height
if u knw the 3 three sides then,
area = sqrt ( s*(s-a)*(s-b)*(s-c))
where, a,b,c -> the sides of d triangle
s = (a+b+c)/2 -> semiperimeter
