Just wondering if magnets can attract a 1 schilling coin.

Are you referring to the Austrian 1 schilling coin? If yes then it's not magnetic. The coin is composed of aluminium and copper alloy.

You have created a hypothesis. Now you must test it.

Get a magnet and a 1shilling coin and test your hypothesis.

That's the scientific method.

If you don't have a shilling, look up what a shilling is made out of and determine if any of those constituents are magnetic.

Only if it's counterfeit. Coins are made of silver, zinc, gold, nickel or copper; none of which are magnetic.
