I really didn't take this all that seriously...just somewhat of a 'fun thing to do'...I looked up my own town and they were correct...[these are placed by drivers not by the police or transportation departments]

I got this information and sent it out to my family in different areas about a month ago. We in the Houston area also have cameras at many of our stop lights to catch people running red lights and turning when not allowed. It's an automatic ticket sent to your home...$100.

The page would not display. But I do know that my entire town is a speed trap. Some roads are watched more than others though. It's only a small town and there are only 5 police officers, but I'm sure they give plenty of speeding tickets!

No. They move. I really wish there was a permanent one on the street where I live. It's exactly one mile outside the city limits, but it's divided with a grass median, and although the speed limit is 45 (I think it's too fast for this residential area), most people go way in excess of that. They get PO'd at residents trying to turn into their driveways (or out of them) or people making left turns at the turnarounds, where there are no left-turn lanes. We hear horns blare and tires screech all day long.
This is why our cats are never allowed to leave the house except on a leash.

I know exactly where the speed traps are. I don't speed like I used to, I owned a motorcycle for 2 years and it made me respect the road more.

Of course, I know where they all are, even though they move from one to the othe quite often. Forewarned is forearmed.
Actually, it really wouldn't matter one way or the other. I'm one of those persons who's never got a ticket in her life for anything other than illegal parking, and then, I didn't even get it, my niece did. But that's OK, it's one thing I can live my life without.

Ahhh!! My Internet wouldn't let me open it.
I do know of the speed traps around our area. We live right next to a High School.

The police also use the net.
And I was a police dispatcher. So yes I know them, knew them, but you know? Soon as you think you got it figured out, they come up with something new.
The speeding laws are there to save YOUR life and mine, to keep you from hurting someone or yourself. Obey them. It's common sense.
Better late alive, then early to the morgue.

Yup! Once I blow through them, I turn around & go back to find out if I beat my record from the day before.
