Interesting that you mention (mostly) the stats in favour of Beckett.
The difference in wins is only 1.
Sabathia has 4 CG to Beckett's 1.
Sabathia worked 41 more innings (which is what caused his K/IP ratio to be less) and walked 3 less.
15 more strikeouts for Sabathia.
The whip was the same.
Beckett had a better OBA as you mentioned..
That being said, I think either choice is deserving.
The biggest thing for Beckett (in my opinion) is that Cleveland also has another candidate in Carmona.

Don't forget about some of these other guys.
Beckett 20-7 3.27 194 strikeouts
Sabathia 19-7 3.21 209 strikeouts
Carmona 19-8 3.06 137 strikeouts
Lackey 19-9 3.01 179 strikeouts
Wang 19-7 3.70 104 strikeouts
Those are all possibilities, but it will most likely be one of the top 4. Wang's won-loss record is comparable, but an ERA of 3.70, while respectable, is a bit high for a Cy Young candidate.
Carmona and Lackey don't have as many strikeouts, but they have the 2 lowest ERAs of these guys.
Beckett will probably win it though. That extra win will help him more than the extra .06 in ERA or 15 fewer strikeouts (when compared to Sabathia) will hurt him.
If I had a vote though, I think I might vote for Sabathia. His and Beckett's numbers are very similar, but Sabathia pitched about 41 more innings. That's 41 innings that they didn't have to wear the bullpen down with.

the sox were consistent the entire year. they had no reason to go out and pitch beckett for 8 innings every outing. they had a consistent bullpen which they used properly. i dont think you can really look at how sabathia was used more and hold that against beckett. sabathia has been the ace of the indians for years while beckett went into the season looking like the number 3 pitcher in the rotation. compete games are meaningless to me. the goal of a pitcher is to go out and win, which was done more often by becketti do think that beckett deserves it more.

I think Beckett will get it.
I think Sabathia deserves it more. They were both terrific this year, but Sabathia pitched a lot more innings. Basically the same ERA, but Sabathia pitched six extra starts worth of innings. When two pitchers are this good, I'd go with the innings eater.

Both are very good - but Sabathia I believe has been the better pitcher this year.

I would not be suprised if Becket gets it.
I would also not be shocked at all to see Carmona get it (He is Sabathia's teamate)
