I am lucky enough not to started the vomiting yet, but am 'dry vomiting' where nothing comes out, but I feel like I need to throw up and all my insides strain each time (sorry if TMI!) is this normal? Is this the start of the full on nausea stage?

Thanks in advance for the advice ('',)

some people only ever experience dry heaving. and some people only have nausea. and others throw up. are you dry heaving on an empty stomach? maybe you should try eating some crackers or toast? it seems better to throw up something than for your body to strain against nothing.

Different pregnancies react in different ways with our bodies. Nothing in pregnancy is really normal/not normal when it comes to the symptomes ecspecially the morning sickness. Just try to eat small frequent meals and have some crackers around. It helps ease the sickness.

I never actually threw up when I was in my first trimester, I only had the dry heaves like you. And it was usually only after I brushed my teeth. So its normal to be lucky to where u never actually throw up. And other then that I never had any type of morning sickness. Except fatigue and that came back toward the end!!

good luck and congrats

That sounds like morning sickness to me. Not everyone vomits. You may be able to sidetrack the feeling by quelling the nausea with ginger ale and soda crackers. It actually works.

Could be. Try drinking Apricot Nectar prior to geting out of bed in the am. I had nausea all day long during 1st trimester. My doc recommended the Nectar as it seems to soothe the nausea. Hope this helps!

How do you have dry vomit. If your going to vomit then your going to vomit Just let it out then trying to keep down. Morning sickness can go through your whole pregnancy.

This is pretty normal...however it does not mean necessarily that it will get any worse for you....maybe that is all you will experience...there is no way to know for sure, since every one is different..and each week of your pregnancy different...but I wish you luck, I have had horrible morning sickness with all of my pregnancies.
