I'm not sure why you would ask us. Why wouldn't you call your mobile phone company? That would be the logical decision.

Cellular One is a franchise so it depend on which Cellular One you are hooked up with!

If you have a GSM phone which is the one with the chip inside you can go into an Orange store and buy a chip and minutes for under 10 US dollars and it is cheap to call the states and locally so that is what I would suggest!

If your phone isn't a GSM speak to your friends and see if they have one laying in a drawer that they don't us anymore and borrow it for the trip!

Have a great time! Go to Altos de Chevon for a great day right near Casa de Campo! Great little Italian type village with cobblestone streets and art galleries and much more! Sometimes they have live music there!

Contact Cellular One, you may need to activate the service but also check the prices they may be too high. Are you going for vacations? Disconnect it during your vacations and enjoy it.

You may not be able to use your cell phone at all. I couldn't with my phone. Call Sprint. They may have a way for you to do it.

it might. you have to call cellular one. we have t-mobile and nextel and our nextel phone worked there. but each company is different. when we traveled last time we had to have them disable the international code so that we can use it over seas.

call your provider and add on international minutes to your plan just for the trip, then your cell will work. it will still be expensive, but the most affordable way to go about it. enjoy your trip.

contact the carrier to ensure it works
then make sure the roaming will not kill your bill.
could be very expensive
