I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for or not (need more info on age of kids, their likes, how far from Detroit or what part of suburbs you're looking for), but you may want to check out the Sterling Inn (Best Western) in Sterling Heights on Van Dyke near 15 Mile(?). It's been some time since I've been that way but they have a game room, pool, indoor water park, etc. The hotel is also not to far from an arcade/go-kart track/etc (I think on Van Dyke @ 12-13 Mile) but I can't remember the name off hand.

I was going to say what the previous poster said. The sterling inn. They have great indoor pools, indoor waterpark for the kids, lazy river, arcade... it's pretty fun there.
