This sounds like you have a stuck key - when you depress the 'e' key there is something in the way not letting it 'bounce back up' in the right time - the computer thinks the key is still being pressed and puts more 'e's on the screen.

You may be able to spray some compressed air under the key to remove the debris (a can of which should cost no more than $3-4), or maybe even lift the keyboard to clean underneath it (there should be guides available on the internet on how to do this for your specific model, but it should only be done if you are completely comfortable, otherwise get an engineer to have a look). If the problem still persists you may need to have the keyboard replaced.
