Anyone have a Craftsman quiet glide toolbox? Do the drawers slide nice? Is ball bearing a lot better? I want to get my boyfriend a nice craftsman tool box for christmas. Is there any other brands that are good? Looking for a rolling toolbox under $500.

I have a Husky brand that I bought at home depot for well under $500. It is not a professional grade but is adequate for home use. The ball bearing drawers will carry more weight which can be important for a person that has lots of tools. I would watch the sales at sears. Craftsman at least used to make a good tool box. I saw one at Costco, stainless steel with bearing drawers but it was a bit over $500. But it is a beauty.

Ball bearing drawers are best.
If there is a long drawer and deep (where lots of tools would go), check to see if it has slides only on the two sides of drawer or does it also have one in the middle for support.

My son wanted a large tool chest. I got him Sears gift certificates & helped watch for sales so he could pick out his own.
