You can run the scan disk tool that is found in Properties of C: in My Computer and tool. Go to scan disk and scan harddrive for error.
Otherwise, you need to replace the hard drive.

Are you running chkdsk? If that is where the errors keep popping up, you need to replace your hard drive. If your laptop is still under warranty, Acer will replace it for free. If not, just buy a new 2.5" hard drive and install it. You will need to recover your computer using the disks that came with your laptop.

Check the manufacturer website for a hard disk boot cd, download it and use that to check the disk for problems. It could be bad sectors like people say or it could be the disk cache is damaged etc (many things it could be) and if there are lots of error the disk is probably dying and will need to be replaced. If the manufacturer doesn't supply a boot cd on thier website you can look for boot cds elsewhere on the web.
I bought a new seagate drive for my pc and as soon as windows installed I ran a dskchk-got lots of errors before windows died and wouldn't recover (turned out it was the cache on the disk). If you can, then reformat, install windows and diskchk it. If there are errors appearing very soon then the disk is a goner and you'll need a new one.
The boot disk i use is called ultimate boot cd and can be found here

Ok, you can reformat your hard drive and reinstall windows again, with the reformat most of the errors will be fixed, now, if the problems are on some sectors of the HD (Phisically), if there's not too much bad sectors you still can work with it with no problems the reformat will mark those bad sectors to prevent the windows to allocate info there, if the HD has a lot of bad sectors you'll need to change the HD to prevent future errors. That's the best I can offer :)

Just so you know..if you reformat your hard drive like mountz said, you will wipe out your entire operating system. I would not recommend doing what he said.
Just my opinion.

maybe your hard drive is busted.. always remember when using a laptop avoid heavy vibration when it is "on" because it can seriously damage your hard drive.
