My friends family are totally against this and they think people should stick to their own race...........but does this not cause more racism...........shouldn't people mix to show that people are now more united?

I think racism is a bad thing, two people getting married because they want to is a good thing.

Race is a cultural construct, not a biological dividing line. Racism shows its ugly face no more clearly than when it hates those who fall in love.

Just ask yourself this question and anyone who thinks that marrying someone of a different culture/race is wrong. The two people are obviously in love if they want to make such a commitment as marriage. So, who are the two people marrying? Are they marrying each other? Whom they are going to live with for the rest of their lives. Or, are they marrying each others families? When family members disagree with a marriage I simply say that they are not the ones getting married and it is not their choice nor their opinion for that matter! If there are family members who will not attend the wedding or disassociate from you totally then they aren't really family anyway!

I don't think that mixed raced relationships are a bad thing. Man was made other humans.....who said anything about race. You cannot choose to fall in love with. Surely if anything a mixed race relationship will help others to love and learn about other peoples culture and traditions (therefore creating tolerance and understanding). I think as long as people don't say they are better than others because of there race or relationship...then their shouldn't be an issue.

Love should not see color or race, but to the people outside the relationship they only see color and differences. It's sad, but that's the way a lot of people are and you can't change that. Your friends should try there best to get the families together, but if it doesn't happen they should get married anyway. The family will pull together, right now there being stubborn.

People need to mind their own business and worry about what's going on in their love lives and make sure that's A-1 before they go poking their nosy butts in someone else's love live. Some people are flat out stupid, with no logical arguments to back up t hat statement. I've heard people saying "well, what if they have kids? The kids will have to grow up..." Well, if you KNOW that, how about raising YOUR kids with some decency so they won't judge MY kid because she's got parents of a different race and how about adjusting YOUR bigoted mind frame so you won't do the same.

Pretty simple.

Why do you need to stick to your own race, people are people no matter where they come from what religion they follow or what colour they are, if 2 people love each other that is all that matters so long as one of them is not a waster drug addict/ criminal/ wife beater- you get the picture, the family should be happy that they found each other, and i bet they will love any kids that they have.

Errr. people should get married if they are in love!

Outside of that simple criteria, nothing else should matter. Your family are being slightly racist, but it's probably not intended in an unpleasant way?

I for one will be pleased when everyone has interbred and you can no longer tell anyone apart by skin colour or hair etc.

Although of course I'm sure humans will find someother way of lumping people into groups!

Interracial couplings should not be a controversy as long as the two in contact do no longer thoughts one yet another's epidermis color, their evaluations are the only ones that easily be counted consequently besides. the only warning i might subject is the differing religions. i've got seen greater relationships fail for motives concerning idealogical variations then racial variations. That being pronounced, grimy seems are going to take place(regrettably), however the quantity of grimy seems they're going to get relies upon on community region. To straight away answer your question. No, it is not a foul ingredient, to each and each his/her very own. thank you and that i'm hoping this permits.

It is an absolutely a terrible thing to do. How can two people of different races love one another, what is the world coming to?

I don't think anyone should have to prove anything to anyone. Relationships have so many problems anyway. It seems better to me to find someone that you have a lot in common with and being of different races would be a major difference. That said, people should do whatever they feel in their own hearts.
