I am 26 weeks pregnant and something is wrong with my eyes. It started on Friday, I was on my way home from work and my eyes became blurry, I made it home, but when I got there my eye sight got worse, I then layed down for a little while hoping to feel better, which I did for a few minutes, then I got a terrible head ache. I slept for about 3 hours and my eyes were better but my head was still hurting a little. My next dr appointment is on the 11th. Has this happen to anyone before? Do you think I should see a Dr before then, is it cause to be concerned?
This is my second pregnancy, I have a 4 year old daughter.

I had the exact same thing. It's completely normal as pregnancy hormones can change the shape of the eye causing blurryness. I had it through my entire pregnancy, but at my eye appt 2 mo later, my eyes were the exact same as pre-pregnancy. I would still ask your Doctor about it though, just so she knows.

My daughter is carrying twins and is having the same problem. Her vision becomes blurred and it's always followed by a headache (migraine). These are also symptoms of pre eclampsia which is a very serious condition when pregnant. So do as we did, call your doctor, they will need to check you to see if you have pre eclampsia. If not, then it is probably pregnancy hormone related.

Vision can become slightly impaired due to the fluctuations in hormone levels. Although vision returns to normal after delivery, seeing an eyecare professional can help ease the transition process. Be aware that certain vision problems can be a sign of more serious conditions, such as high blood pressure or gestational diabetes. It is therefore important for you to monitor your vision changes during your pregnancy

The blurry eye thing hit me around the same time during pregnancy. I called the doctor about it and he said it was completely normal. I thought something was wrong with my contacts, but it was just pregnancy doing its thing. As for the headaches, I had them a lot during my pregnancy. I hardly have them now.

I would check with your Dr. b/c it sounds like some symptoms of High Blood Pressure. Check just to be sure. Maybe nothing, but this is a serious condition while pregnant so it might not hurt to put in a call to your OB-GYN.

This happened to me in most of my pregnancies. Your eyes can become severely dry. They should return to normal after the baby is born. In the mean time try using some eye drops. I would suggest refresh liguid gel. If is become to bothersome talk to your dr. about it.

Blurry vision could be a symptom of preeclampsia.

I would put a call in to your doctor.

Call the doctor's office right away. You have probably got some high blood pressure.
Lie on your back with your feet up higher than your heart in the meantime.

Disturbances in vision and headaches are indicators of pre eclampsia. I would go to see your doctor sooner if you can. Even if it is just to rule our pre eclampsia and ease your worries.
