You can bleed when you are newly pregnant but technically it's not a "period" because you are not ovulating anymore.

The blood might be from implantation, or ruptured capillaries, or intercourse or a gynecological exam, or other pregnancy-related reasons.

keep a close eye on this, I had the same question but the bleeding I was experiencing got heavier (NOT worse than a period) and lasted 4 days, it ended up being a miscarriage.

Call your doctor to be sure.
Implantation bleeding happens before a prenant woman is scheduled to get AF.

Yes but it would technically not be your "period," it's bleeding due to implantation or other things happening down there. Never dismiss any bleeding though--so talk to you ob/gyn who will give you better direction.
