Do what you can to make the world better, and try not to agonize over all the people who don't. Seemingly small efforts can often have disproportionately huge results, but it can sometimes take a while and be hard to see at first. Just don't give up and don't beat on yourself about things that you have little control over. As a great philosopher once said (and I paraphrase here): "Don't worry about things you have no control over, because you have no control over them. And don't worry about things you _have_ control over, because you have control over them."

I can sympathize with you friend and it would be good to wake up tomorrow and the world would be a much better place.
The way we must work though is to try and influence the people in the only way we know how. Go work for an organization that you think could have an influence on the injustices of the world.
Donate money to these organizations if you are unable to physically help them.
Be an author or newspaper columnist and write about the positive way life could be influenced.
Join Green Peace, Bob Geldof - Unicef - there are lots of things you could do to help but getting depressed about what other are doing against your beliefs will not be very helpful to any one except the negative energy. Comprehend....

The world and other forms of life will survive and evolve, humans will disappear sooner or later. The world is beautiful, get outside, feel the sun, breath some clean air, listen to quiet, see the stars, all that is what you are really a part of, not this technoplastic BS world we made for ourselves.

The world is still beautiful where your eyes can behold it as such. Some can't see the horror and imagine that it doesn't exist. I lived the horror until I was able to discover the beauty that is all around me. Even though mankind has upset the balances, a single snowflake represents infinate beauty. Each child born represents a miracle. You make a difference because you are able to see where others can not. Do what you can to make a difference that is positive. Each attempt balances in the favor of good. There is still hope. You represent it to me. Continue.

Stop thinking like that. The world IS beautiful. Try to find the hidden beauty beyond the evil world and you'll feel better. From what you mentioned I realised that you are a sensitive person. This is good, but believe me it's not worth worrying about everything in this world. This is what I think!!!

I feel U! Watched the documentary "The Devil Came on Horseback" over the wknd. Ouch-the ppl of Darfur: I'm so sad for them.
I agree w/ John R. Control what you can.
U need to get involved. The holidays are coming. Start volunteering so you can see immediate results. Feeding & providing clothes & toys to the disadvantaged is rewarding work. Help others to help others to help others...
I feel for the animals most of all. They've no say in how we treat them. Many ppl feel it's "their" planet & the animals are a nuisance to be commandeered.

That’s exactly what I used to feel for a long time and then I realized that I was loosing my faith in what’s good and worth believing in it. Now I’m taking things as they come and I don’t consider my self powerless to make a difference so every day I make sure that I monitor my thoughts and feelings and actions so as to align with a very special vision; soon will come one day when I’ll wake up and the world will be happy and joyful and everybody will be as one heart, one mind, one soul under the light of the stars.
Don’t give-in and don’t give-up we, mankind, are going to make it there…it’s our destiny…our original state of beingness.
Let’s keep the beacon of Love burning in our hearts.
There is so much beauty and goodness in our world…sooner or later we will realize it.

hindu mythology says that this is the kaliyuga- the last era- and at its end the earth will be engulfed by a huge flood. it says that the world will become worse and worse in this yuga, till there will be no bit of good left, and it seems that the world is heading for this catastrophic collapse. but humans are too much of a burden and its not even near the end of the kaliyuga. i think we are gonna cause the greatest mass extinction the world has ever seen, before wee leave. we oughtn't have lost our tails. but i would like to spent my itsy-bitsy life helping people. so please bless me on my journey.
