When a person points out a mistake of GWB, Bill Clinton's name is brought up in the process. I often see "Well Clinton did that" or "what about Clinton" in response to a question about GWB. News flash, Bill Clinton hasn't been president for 7 years. Can someone please give me a reasonable explanation of why Clinton is used as a scapegoat for GWB? Thanks!

it is the blame game. It works well for them, but doesn't have any substance to it.

I think the point to take away from such assertions is that partisan politics drives many of the accusations against any political figure. If GWB were to lie under oath, for instance, and, predictably, partizans were to line up to crticise and defend him, then either side could reasonably point out that when Clinton lied under oath, the other side had the exact opposite reaction.

RE: was or was not Bill Clinton a good President? Was or was not Bill Clinton a Good President? not talking about the personal life drama. Did he or did he not accomplish whatever he said he was gonna do if he become President. If he Did do. What makes you guys think that Hillary will not do what she said she'll do? Does it make since?

Not a "scapegoat", and it depends on the ?????/
When asked "why did Bush lie and say Iraq had WMD's". A logical response would be Bush was not the only one who thought this, and point out Clinton(s) thought this as well.
For other things, you are correct, Clinton is brought up way too much.

Its quite simple, actually. You see if Bill had been doing his job this whole terrorist thing wouldnt have escalated as it did. Of course we can go back even further to the Carter days, talk about worthless. And imagine that both are Demorats!!!

Bush isnt a magician, he had a BIG mess to clean up before he could even start doing his job as President effectively. You do the homeowrk, its all right there in black and white.

The answer is simply: politics. The dems do not have a president in office, so they must speculate and refer to Bill Clinton

1) To point out hypocrisy.

2) The same reason the Democrats use Ford as a scapegoat for all of Carter's mistakes.

Just trying to point out how hypocritical the dems are . . . Trying to blame our current President for issues that were discussed and praised during the previous administration just doesn't make much sense.

I, too, asked this question a while back. The answers were predictably deflecting. Haven't you yet figured out this administration is infallible?

Liberals complain about GWB often ignoring their own party's hypocrisy. Also We try to inform libs of their party's missteps and mistakes as the media reluctantly reports it.
