First, I'd like to respond to the Denver fan above. I can promise you that San Diego has quite a few real fans. I've been going to games for over 20 years and I've worn my Chargers shirt and sweatshirt through many a 2 or 3 win season. You are, of course, wrong about the Chargers talent. It's not a fluke when a team goes 14 and 2, not in this league. The talent is there, with the exception of some desperate needs at cornerback. LT is still the best, Rivers has shown he can be fantastic and a great leader, there is no one to match Gates or Merriman, and our O-line is as strong as ever. This isn't about talent. It's about coaching and leadership, and the ability of a team to bounce back from adversity. No one who watched the Chargers play last year, and win some games on sheer guts, could think they could sink so far so fast. Fortunately, though, there's always a chance that adversity will spur action, and maybe we can make some quick changes at the top. Maybe Rivera can move up to the job he interviewed for in the first place. We'll see. If nothing else, player pride should make for a better show in Denver next week. But please, if anyone is listening, show Norv Turner and AJ Smith the door -- I'm sure Norv is a nice guy. So is the guy who runs the deli downstairs, but I don't want him coaching my team. AJ has always been an egotistical ***, and it's finally catching up with him. Spanos, show these guys what leadership is. Admit your mistakes and get it done, now, while we still have a chance at a season.

The cost of season tickets have gone up 60% over the last 4 years. 4-12 teams do not sell out stadiums and the 14-2 one last season made this possible. It may not be fair after 4 games but the team has looked lost, Rivers has taken a step backwards and Norv is the Head Coach. Chargers can likely lose 3 more games this season and still make the playoffs which is really the only goal here. If he loses to Denver and Oakland over the next two weekends he should be fired on the morning of the 15th.

absolutely not. norv turner won 12 games this year after an 8-8 season last year. he has never been considered a great playoff coach, but he is a coach that can get you there. the chargers are still young & will have opportunities down the road. to fire norv turner would do nothing other than set them back anywhere from 2 - 4 years. san diego will more than likely win a superbowl within the next few years.

Some day owners will figure out that Norv has a losing record overall for a reason. The man isnt even a very good assistant coach! It's not like there's something we aren't seeing here, everyone can and has seen that he can't coach success. I mean, look at the dude! Would you take direction from the Gollum look-alike?

Hey you can blame AJ Smith. Marty did not get fired because of that loss. That was the perfect reason for Smith to fire him because they did not get along. Instead of just supporting a coach who had made the team a winner and had support from LT, your best player, he made it a personal decision not a football decision. And it seems he hired Norv Turner just to say anybody could coach this level talent.
Well dont blame it all on Turner, Smith should be on the sidewalk right next to him. He started all of this.

The team blew their chance last season. This season they suck! The Raiders are ahead of them. I am so glad finally everybody is seeing that the Chargers are NOT that good. Norv Turn is adding to that, but this year everybody can see that Phillip Rivers is NOT that good. The ONLY GOOD player on the Chargers is LT. He should be traded to a team that will allow him to use his talent. Now everybody can see that LT held that team together last year not Phillip Rivers.
I am sure all of the so called fans in San Diego are no longer Chargers fans considering they are in last place in the AFC West.
The true Chargers fans I do feel sorry for. However, last season I lived in San Diego and I seen more "so called" fans. As soon as the Chargers lost to New England, everybody put their Chargers stuff away. It is sad that a team has more fake fans than true fans.
Regardless of how good or bad the Broncos do, I am a fan and I am proud to show off my Broncos gear.

Its hard to be picky when trying to be an NFL head coach. You never know what job will open up. Norv should have the Falcons job where he can build a team, rather than try and replace Marty.
The fault is with Chargers management for firing Marty.

Charger fans wanted Marty fired because he can't ever win in a post-season game and that they were "tired of Marty's conservative style."
So now you want Norv Turner fired? Is that such a good idea? I don't know.
Can Charger fans first admit that they are retarded and stop scapegoating A.J. Smith?
