I am 13 weeks pregnant and the gas/bloating is still terrible. Sometimes I'm so bloated and uncomfortable and ill feeling, that I cannot eat dinner at night and just go to bed with a belly full of air. I have tried:

1. Beano and Gas-X - no relief at all
2. Exercise to get things moving
3. Eating small meals throughout the day
4. Cutting out fried foods
5. Wearing loose clothes and staying upright after meals

Nothing is working. And please don't tell me to avoid certain other foods b/c with my morning sickness my doctor just told me to eat what I can.

Does anyone have ANY other remedy I haven't tried?? Other natural enzymes besides Beano that might work? I am in misery!

I am feeling this way, too. My midwife suggested papaya enzymes so I'm going to try that.

Also, you might be more sensitive to dairy, even if you normally aren't when not pregnant. Try cutting back on (not eliminating) dairy for just one day and see if that makes a difference.

If you are drinking carbonated beverages like Sprite or 7-up (to ease morning sickness) keep them cold in the fridge and let them go flat before drinking. That will greatly reduce feelings of bloating.

Last of all, check your posture. I know it sounds weird, but if you tend to slouch a lot this can cramp and slow down the bowels trapping gas in your belly. Even if you are tired or feeling sick, make sure you have good posture whenever you are sitting or standing.

Hey, sorry to hear your feeling rubbish i have morning sickness so i feel rubbish too!

Drink from a cup or glass — not from a bottle or through a straw — and don't gulp your beverages.

• Avoid carbonated drinks.

• Sit up while you're eating or drinking, even if you're just having a small snack

Don't chew gum or suck on hard candies.

• Avoid anything sweetened with Sorbitol, an artificial sweetener

Take care of constipation, as it can add to flatulence and a feeling of abdominal bloating.

• Don't smoke — in addition to contributing to a host of serious health problems, it also boosts stomach acidity. (Ideally, this is a habit you should break before getting pregnant. If you're still smoking and having trouble quitting, ask your caregiver for a referral to a smoking-cessation program.)

Call your practitioner if your gas discomfort ever feels more like abdominal pain or cramping or is accompanied by blood in your stool, severe diarrhea, constipation, or an increase in — or a new bout of — nausea and vomiting

1. Lie flat on the ground on your back. While inhaling, lift your left foot towards your chest very slowly.
2. Hold your foot to your chest with your hands for 10 seconds (hold your breath).
3. Slowly release the foot while exhaling.
4. Repeat steps 1-2 with the other foot.
Boil a few mint leaves in a cup of water for about 5mins.Drink this after every meal and it will keep gas problems away

You might suddenly be lactose intolerant. Like another poster suggested, if you can cut out cow's milk dairy for a day or two to see what happens, you might get some relief. Try vanilla soy milk instead. It's a tasty alternative and has calcium.

I actual have waves of extreme tiredness via the day that in worry-free words bog down with interest of all issues. i visit't stand nevertheless without feeling faint, I actual might want to be walking or sitting yet when I do sit down - it hurts my tailbone so undesirable that i visit't arise - and that i'm getting very susceptible in being waiting to face up from bending over that i want help. a sturdy prenatal nutrition helps, yet I actual have not began to come across a sturdy one it is not any longer a horse tablet it is complicated to swallow and that i have not yet got here upon a sturdy liquid prenatal nutrition. continuously carring fluids with me everywhere i pass helps. ingesting a lot of water helps and that i come across South African rooibos tea to be so effective with the entire antioxidants. vegetables and fruit also help me primary - yet quite i visit't destroy out this - there is in worry-free words one way out - and that is via this - so carry in there! this is going to all be quite worth it once you pop out on the different aspect. Hahahaha, exertions and shipping besides the undeniable fact which will make this area of your being pregnant appear like a complete cakewalk - so appreciate what you've were given now!

Peppermint tea works great for gas and bloating. Or the little peppermint candies with real peppermint oil in them. You can try either. I hope this helps a little.
