I work in the mental health field as a residential technician in a group home. When I first started I was warned that you get alot of attitude from clients and not alot of appriciation. But I've been here 4 years and I find that I get thanked all the times for doing things that are just my job. And they constantly appologize for having to ask for help on something. Of corse this isn't with all the clients, but the majority.
Oddly where I don't get alot of appriciation is from management. Usually I only hear something from them if its something they didn't like.
Thats what makes my job so rewarding and keeps me able to keep going. Is the fact that its the clients who appriciate the job your doing the most. I love that I'm helping people who really appriciate it. I really want to help them feel better about themselves. The stigma over mental illness is so sad. Alot of these people are warm, genuine, and generally kind. Yet people treat them worse then animals. They are not even second class citizens, they get treated like they aren't wanted by anyone, even their own family sometimes. I wish people could get an inside look like I've gotten. You'd realize that some of the more messed up things in life, is how cruel "normal" people really can be.

they only hearken to their shows so as that they could now no longer see it. yet right here's your affirmation: "probable Bush’s call only isn't dirt from now on. The Washington placed up/ABC poll requested respondents to fee Bush’s performance for the first time once you concentration on that December 2008, even as maximum effectual 33 percentage rated it absolutely and sixty six percentage rated it negatively. What the pollster got here upon is that at latest 40 seven percentage approve and 50 p.c. disapprove of Bush’s performance. That approval volume is precisely an same as Barack Obama’s in probable the most present day placed up/ABC poll." i have a $one hundred invoice that asserts a year from now Bush may have an outstanding score than Obama.
