I have been going thru a very rough spot in life, lost my job and all that and because of this , I could not register my car for this year in April and my car insurance lapsed in July .I just got a temp job and getting ready to sort out this mess and on my way to work this morning, some one hit me from behind.It was a minor dent and broken tail lights so we did not call the police upon my suggestion coz I know my car situation would have put me behind bars.the guy agreed and he got my conatct info and I got his.Now I need to know how he can fix the car without being registerd or insured.he admitted fault but Im worried.the guy does not know about my car being unregistered and uninsured.

Well everyone walked away! Take your car to the body shop give them the other guys insurance information. Now get insurance started so you can have a rent car do you have a credit card? if not your walking while the repairs are preformed on your car. Things are going to get better and the sun will come up tomorrow.

I wouldn't push this issue with him.You were clearly in the wrong by driving with no insurance and expired registration.If he thinks about this for a while he may decide to use his insurance in which case they will discover your illegal situation.That will multiply your problems,landing you in hot water with law enforcement.If he calls and offers to pay cash accept it,otherwise take your lumps and don't make things worse for yourself.

oh uh You seem to be in trouble!. i would take it to a shop and have them do the job and him just paying them directly... Do not dare mention ur situation or he will use it against u and get away with it. Just relax and all will be ok
