Suede is the most comfortable

Leather - it's not that great for the animals it was made from, but if you can get past that; it's breathable (no sweaty toes), waterproof, and long lasting (well worth the added expense). Make sure you get a soft leather so that they don't rub, but to be honest even hard leather will soften quite quickly.

leather. suede stretches and gets ruined easily, pvc cracks and is too hot on your feet and behind your knees.

leather lasts longer and looks better, suede gets dirty very quick and stretches too quick ,pvc looks cheap and tacky but hey whatever your budget allows

PVC don't bend very easily and look cr*p! I think leather are best and make sure they fit snugly up top or you might look like your wearing a pair of waders!
