basically used me over the last 2 years to do everything for him and never got time off or a thank you. I thought it would be best for me to find a new job as I started having megraines and feeling miserable and tired everyday because of all the stress. I resigned on Friday as I found another job. The thing is the other job pays one third less and now my current boss is promising me the sun moon and stars about what will change and he will pay me more..... What would you do? Stay or go.

as you move to the new job, look for another one. Were you are sounds horrible. Move on.

It might pay less but at least you'll have less stress and you got away from the jerk. Talk is cheap...have him put in writing a review date in a few months so you can discuss the things he promised...Good luck!!
