I've seen statcounter.com online before, is it a business tool for a website or can it be used on a home computer to track activity? If so what can it track?

Ditto all the above; it can track the times a web page is loaded...Remember that, if you have multiple pages in your website, and "user A" goes to the second web page and then goes back to the first page then that's two hits on the first page, so YOU may consider that misleading...

But nonetheless, one of my clients uses statcounter for two purposes.
(1) On several pages of his website, to see which are the most-used pages, and
(2) To watch the effect of changes on the website as the changes relate to frequency of website use...

It tracks pageloads of a website. You have to have a website/webpage...it can show you what pages are being accessed, for how long, from what IP address, from where in the country/world.

And it's free!

Tracking activity on YOUR computer is a different animal. Go to Cnets www.download.com and search for keyloggers.
