It's chemistry. The point of meditation is learning to calm this chaotic physical system (where it begins), gradually slowing the erratic thoughts so you can contemplate the learned ego's belief system and master it's misperception. You are not your feelings and thoughts. You are the observer of them.

Always rhyme and reason when reeling in...well, I guess that's the way it starts and by the time I end up, it's lost a lot of the rhyme and reason....but tries to still have a little of reason to the rhyme that's left.

Since I am 11 at heart, I can easily reel from place to place with no rhyme or reason :-)

Hi,
That sounds too much like being forever in a mental fog with your thoughts having no sense of direction. Yes sometimes when I'm tired my thoughts are all over the place but most of the time they're trying to find a steady path on which to travel along and when I'm working or doing anything serious, my mind is focused on my intention.

A 'mind-wanderer'. (Instead of a 'mind-reader') lol

Let me see, I think so. But even the aimless wandering sometimes leads you to undiscovered talents. I think though rather than Rhythm-less or Reason-less, it has some purpose which we fail to see. My mind (I guess my brain) gets too bored when there is a repetitive routine. It then starts rolling around out there and tries to keep occupied. I think if we get too used to routine, we become like zombies. On the other hand too much wandering and you will not be able to stay focused. This is called 'attention deficit disorder' (ADD). I guess the trick will be to control this somewhat and 'free associate' our minds from time to time. Maybe it is our way of purging old data.

Thank you for yet another interesting question.

There is always rhyme and reason. Just watch how a conversation evolves. The topic the conversation started with and the one it ends with may seem completely different but there were a bunch of related topics that links them together, rhyme and reason Baby.

Yes, I agree that sometimes my Mind reels from Place to Place, but it sometimes is, because I might be nervous or do not feel well, at the Moment.

I guess every one of us can admit to that. Minds don't always have their fixed routes. Sometimes they just drift like a fallen leaf blown from one side to another. In fact, this comes like an enjoyable momentary course of nature - light and free, no thoughts pin you down, no searching, no worry in finding. Why do we have to seek for rhymes and reasons all the time? Isn't it more fulfilling at times to just let go of our our bounds and allow our minds to wander aimlessly?

It is much easier to reel with perfect rhyme and reasoning if you are bilingual.

But if you wander aimlessly in times of peace surely you will stumble into a war.

I`m afraid I have something of an unquiet mind for those who know what I mean. Some times I do have an attack of the rhyming with no reason hee hee

I can feel the glee of being me
as I roam from time to time
there is no reason nor perfect season
to stay the hand of rhyme
and like the rest I like to jest
but then I'm just a teasin'

(or in other words - yes)
