of Chaos. What they do may manifest on the material plane but their goals reach beyond materialism to a representation of spirit itself do you agree???

Hi Rena,
I agree that spiritual and creative people can 'reach in', but rather than call it a 'formless void' I'd prefer to call it a 'timeless abyss or store of ultimate reason' which motivates and stimulates and brings about the eventual material representation of the spirit that inspired the work.

It can hardly be a formless void if you have substance and beauty there. It´s more likely that these type of individuals have some sort of access to the Astral Plane which is a very plastic medium. As to materialism I think these people know the value of what they produce, especially nowadays. Free spirits today seem to be a vanishing breed.

aye, I agree. I think that beauty is not always the result though but on the whole I agree. If those that have never written or outwardly expressed what they have within, those that shy away from the artistic crafts would simply let the inner strength be then surely all can achieve something of substance and beauty.

It is true that they reach in, it is also true that they pull something out. However it is not true that what they reach into is without form. On the contrary, what they reach into is so vivid to them, the forms that they interpret are so real that they are almost forced to be moved, to feel, to sing, to write. What we receive, as the other, the outsider, is part of their perspective. For a brief second, we feel what they feel, see how they see.

Formless, no not at all...

Artistic 'Self expression' is at its highest level - most profound - when coming from a temporary state of unity consciousness. But, this type of flow state can also be achieved by athletes and scientists (anyone focused on an outcome). It is not just the realm of the mystic or the artist.

While true to some degree, the arts are much more powerful when pulled out of Good emotion. For what you say to be accurate the song must be greater then the singer/song writer
for instance George Michaels - Careless whisper.

It is for those who want to represent. In a sense, though, we all listen to a bias and manifest that bias in our work. I personally do not attempt to represent, yet, when I make the decisions about what to leave, there is a bias guiding that decision. Even when I am not thinking about it, there is something going on with pressure and duration of applying the tool.

i believe that many artists put their true feelings in what they write or sing..some music is so soulful and full of passion and other is not..it is also relating to the person as a whole to show the world the kind of person they are, where they have been, what they have done, the obstacles they encountered, love and falling down before getting up..those are inspirational songs that anyone can relate to..it is all about expression and doing what they love and loving what they do

I believe that what they manifest is simply a representation of the artist themselves, their innermost persona.

Yes. So true. Though not all that is pulled out is beautiful. It must be authentic.
