I give it a thumbs up, however I did think Shaun of the Dead was funnier.

Well, I have to give it one thumbs up, instead of two thumbs up. +Will Smith is amazing in the movie +Thought-provoking to a certain degree (i.e. What would you do, so on and so forth) +Moments in the movie that captures Robert's (Smith's character) frustration/ psychological breakdown +Sad moments may move you +Itty bits of humor +Some VERY amazing shots of an empty New York city, destroyed bridges, grass growing everywhere, cars piled up and not moving at all.. Now, the bad part -The zombie/vampire hybrid are rather iffy, although this was kind of explained due to the fact that the monsters breathed really fast, and if a normal person tried to do so, he would hyperventilate. -The ending felt too happy for me - I don't know if you guys noticed, but I thought all the bridges were destroyed to quarantine the island (Now those that watched the movie, think what happens in the movie with the woman) - CGI wasn't that believable in some moments, but, you know, kind of hard to unleash a band of Deers around NY, ya know? Overall, it is a good movie, though there are some issues that prevent it from becoming AN AWESOME MOVIE. Of course, we can't argue about "movie being different than the book" because it almost always happens. I don't think I'd buy it though, I don't want to make my day feel gloomy. Made me feel like when I finished watching Seven.

Crazy funny. You'll understand it more if you are a film buff. Lots of references to action films. Also, it gets funnier the more times you see it, because you pick stuff up from the beginning of the movie that is referenced again later.
The guys who made this movie really focus on dialog and fast paced (British) humor.
I didn't think this was as good as Shaun of the Dead (the same creators/stars), but definitely a "thumbs up".

I'll give it a sideways thumb. It wasn't incredible, but it wasn't horrible either. It is very funny, but until the last 20 minutes. It just takes to long to get to the funny part. If you can tolerate watching a movie that isn't good until the end, then you will like it.

I saw Shaun of the Dead, and I liked that, I think both movies were made by the same people.

It was good in the beginning, they were cracking a lot of funny jokes, but it got to far fetched in the end and went on WAY longer then called for.

Loved it. One, you have to like british humor (Shaun of the dead, snatch, etc) Two you have to be able to handle gore, its pretty graphic. You like those 2 and you will have a great time with it..
