Option 3 is the most difficult as most Americans deny the atrocities and problems that happened in the Southern states and finding records about race problems is difficult.
Option two is quite easy as there are many books and historical records concerning that era, even though the War of the Roses was a traumatic time for the country.
option 1 would be the most fun. The opening of many grey areas by the Russians of the Soviet influence from 1917 - 1991 is still something of a mystery even now. i did study the cause and effects for my own 'O' level at school in the late 70's and learnt a lot about the soviet / stalinist regiemes, but now you could learn a lot more.

They are all good, I think I would choose the second myself because i am fascinated by Richard III (the only king of England to have 4 English grandparents and to be born in England don'tcha know)
Russia under Stalin would be good but you would have to wade through a mass of sources, absolutely tons of acronyms etc.
If I was going for the easiest to pick up a good grade in it would be the third - source materials are easy to understand, you can use primary sources like people who were alive at the time and you probably already know more about it than the other 2 subjects

I've done all of these and personally found Stalinism the most interesting topic. You should take whichever one you know least about. As post slavery America is fairly modern and densly studied throughout school you will probably find it quite repeatative. I cant say i find any of English history particularily interesting but it's totally down to what you enjoy.

I d pick number one if Id be interested in Late Medieval stuff. Ussr during Stalin is also a very wide sibject for exploration - intrigue, mass murder, brainwash you name it. The 3rd was is a little bit overplayed in schools so its hard to pick it out, but that doesn't make it any less interesting taken the right approach.

Wel, I'm a historian, so I find all three interesting. But most interesting? the 15th century England.
Maybe I've just worked too long in an Antebellum museum to find the rest too interesting...

Number two is the most interesting and, for You, the easiest for finding
Number one is more complicated, but maybe more interesting for the fallout on the nowaday politics

Not thinking on difficulty, but on my personal interests, english history would be my first choice. In fact, I'll be taking English history 1 next semester here at PJC (pensacola junior college)
