It almost not fair to Brett Favre..... what the media has done. Here's my fave quote from yesterday. I thought I was gonna barf up my nachos.... Ready for this "over the top" quote from Chris Berman on ESPN Sportscenter?

"Cheering for Brett Favre is like cheering for America!"

Good grief!! Pass the Dramamine please! I need to breath into a small paper bag.

Am I the only one who feels this is just not fair to Brett?

Nope. Brett deserves all the press he is getting. It's not just that he has now broken every career record for a QB but two (INT's and Total Yards), and he will break both of those this year, but the fact that he is also having a fantastic year, and has an undefeated team. I have been very impressed with all of the quotes this year about him from sportscasters and former players. No one in football or probably any other sport has earned the same respect that Brett has from his peers. What he has done is truly amazing, and at age 37, he is still on top of his game.

FAVRE4EVER!!!!!

I agree with that assessment by Berman. Favre is the most beloved sportsman ever. We have gone through 20 years of worshipping thugs. This is refreshing. I know Favre is getting very tired of answering the same questions over and over though. I saw him do that yesterday with no less than 5 different reporters. He deserves the attention though because he has endured a couple of years of undue criticism. His team was so bad that he had to try and win games by himself that's all. I like him even better for sacrificing his passer ratings for a chance to win. Most of these guys won't do that. He is still going to be the only one of the all-time great QB's who never really had a great receiving corps. He had Sterling Sharpe for his first three years and that's about it. get him a good runningback, and he'll beat Tom Brady and the the Patriots right now!

I feel that the media is making Brett Favre annoying to people who already don't think very highly of the Packers. I love the guy, and love the Pack, but you're right - the media is screwing with his reputation.

I live in WI and I never get sick of listening to Brett Favre. He is portrayed as a classy person and deserves the attention when he is breaking records and having a season like he is having this year.

Go Pack Go!!!!!!!

The thing that I hate about the whole Brett Favre thing is how he gets criticized when he takes a long time to decide whether or not he wants to come back. I understand that the Packers organization wants a decision so they'll know whether or not to move on without him, but in my mind he's a hall of famer, a legend in Wisconsin and he deserves to take as much time as he wants to make that decision.

Not me. I heard that quote too and thought it was a good one. It's fair to Favre and he deserves it. As far as the media goes, I think he (and the rest of the team) are FINALLY getting the credit they deserve.

I live in Green Bay and I am not sick of him. The local media portrays him very well and it's not overwhelming. The issue is the national media only rolls his name out when the team is doing well. Thats understood, but it can be too much. However, this guy is whats right in professional sports. He should be praised and celebrated, but it doesn't need to be over the top.

It is actually funny you used that Berman quote because he has used it to describe at least three baseball players this years and Tiger Woods...must be his new favorite line. I live in Ohio and Farve gets about Zero coverage here with the exception of ESPN so I haven't gotten burnt out on him yet, plus yesterday was supposed to be the first Packers game of the year being shown in my area and they played the Lions game instead so that has alot to do with my opinion. I'm sure in bigger markets he is everywhere though...which gets old after awhile.

Not nearly as tired of him as I am of Payton Manning. I swear if I have to see his ugly mug on one more commercial, I'll scream. At least Favre is something to look at.
