In the immediate situation, it is emotions who make the decisions (even if you think they are logical or rational), but it is with logic and rational thinking you can cultivate and transform the mind so the emotions make a different/better decision in the future.

With logic you can change the emotions, but with emotions you can't change your logic.

So, maybe you can say emotions win in the short run, but logic wins in the long run.

In the end, when you're a mature and wise person, your emotions force you to make rationally and logically sound and coherent decisions, thanks to your rational work with emotions (through logic), but it's still your emotions that make the decisions. However, you rational mind already decided before what kind of decisions the emotions should make! ;)

No, neither the logic will rule always (100%), nor the emotions will do, following is my point of view:

Each of the logic and emotions dominates certain circumstances:

There are situation when emotions are our guide like, when you love a woman, rescue an endangered pet, donating for a poor kid in the street, social relations, etc, there is no role for logic , figures and calculations.

As for the logic, the situations that are ruled by logic are more than the the ones ruled by emotions because it is related to, making our living, education, security, planning, savings and many other things.

Some persons judge logic cases by emotions, like donating some money for a beggar whom we are sure that he is a professional beggar and doesn't deserve donates , but i know some people feel pity for that beggar a give him money.

On the other hand, some persons judge emotion cases by logic, like a person who looks for a rich woman to marry her to achieve financial purposes and overlooks the noble feelings like kindness ,care, sympathy and love, which are essential in this case.

Most of us will use both of emotions and logic properly in her/his life with with occasional deviations, it is the nature of normal human being, but never the logic rules our lives always.

Thinking logically, you're being strategic to get to an answer. Emotion, on the other hand, has no strategy, reacting on impulse. Does logic always beat emotions, most of the time. But your emotions can definitely win a battle or two if you're not irrational about it.

first it depends on the situation. let me explain, in some career fields you are taught to divorce ur emotions from your logic. if your logic is clouded by emotions then it is a 90% probability that u will make a mistake, but then man as a creature is highly emotional.

logic can win over emotions but it takes a conscious effort. if left to the natural order, emotions will win.

emotions sets us up with other life forms but what gives us the edge is logic,

and believe it or not the two go hand in hand

Quite the reverse I would say.

From massive national issues (going to war with another country is never the most logical solution).

To individual issues (should I eat that bar of chocolate?).

Emotions nearly always win over logic.

No, Emotions seem to be more powerful than logic. Sometimes, the logic will get through but not always.

Usually it’s the other way around but that’s not right either. Logic and emotion should work together in providing the human being with the ultimate state of awareness and consciousness. In such a state the human being is able to think with his/her heart and feel with the brain.

NO. This is because, Logic and emotion operate in entirely differnt levels. Can you look for Logic iin your love to your mother? Can there be a rational explanation possible?

it is best when you do not apply logic (The Rational level) to the level of emotions. dont mix them up.
