First, don't let anyone go barefooted for a few weeks.
Sweep, vacuum, dust mop or swiffer, then wet mop(be careful wringing out the wet mop), and then do it all again. Glass can go many feet from where it shatters. It can leave very tiny shrads. After you think you have it all up, get on hands and knees and put your face as close to floor as possible to see if you can see anything shinning out at you.If you see particles too tiny to pick up with anything else , try fresh white bread. Hope you are able to get it all and keep those little feet free of glass.

What I usually do is immediately sweep the entire room and pick up as many pieces as possible with the dust pan. Being on tile, the glass can spread over a large area. The last time I broke a glass on tile floors, I carefully scanned the entire floor, taking a damp cloth (to protect my hand) to wipe the whole surface down. It takes awhile, but you will find those little hard to see pieces that way and prevent a child from cutting themselves or swallowing one of them.

The last time my son dropped a cup i was finding little pieces for a few days as far away as 20 feet. I swept, pushed around my floor with a thin piece of poster board to round up small stubborn particles, MOved the fridge, vacuumed with the shop vac and crevice tool, and then mopped my floor on hands and knees with a rag twice. I wasn't confident about barefeet in the house till I didn't see another piece of glass for three days. No matter how much you clean you will inevitably miss a piece here and there as they are wet and kind of glue themselves to the floor. Just keep your eyes peeled and the shoes on for a few days.

I grab wet paper towels and start wiping up the floor. While you are down there, if you put your face near the floor you can often spot more shards....yes, I've even used a flashlight to help (great for finding contacts and earrings). Then I vacuum carefully paying attention to under cabinet areas.
Glass on tile can go 12 feet or more, so if there is carpeting nearby, there could be class there too!

Just happend and i have a bird who likes to eat the smallest things so i feel you however my counter tops have that grout!
what works best for me is a damp paper towel and placeing it on the area and trying to pick it up!
it gets most of it! more of the smaller ones!
even better yet get a vacume hose! i have hardwood floors i have no vacume! lol
Glass can go EVERYWHERE so sweep behind things and move stuff.. where you think the glass didn't go it went so go there anyway!
it sticks to your socks too so that means i can travel it could be everywhere in your home!
so make sure you double check!
unsplatter glass would be a great invention!

Sweep or vacuum the big pieces, vacuum again, wipe slowly and deliberately with wet paper towels, changing them frequently. A piece of bread will also pick up the tiniest of shards. The glass can fly everywhere, even into the next room.

i could use a vacuum. Set it to the decrease carpet top putting and omit it slowly, back and forth in all instructions and in an rather great area in case the products are scattered farther than you think of.
