Come on...can anyone take him serious with that fake sounding..over-dramatic southern accent? He sounds like a typical "southern preacher-politician". He also seems lost. Watch the debates...he seems "over his head". I'm liking Joe Biden more and more.

I dont have anything against accents...we all have some kind of accent. My point is...how can you take someone serious(not to mention, the leader of the free world)...who sounds like a character from Mayberry RFD

Me too, on Joe Biden. He has the experience, especially in foreign affairs, and he is very bright. He has he respect of many others in the Senate, on both sides of the aisle. I wish more people would see his attributes like we do! I think he'd make a great President!.

Enough with the haircuts and southern accent, lets get to issues, not only with John Edwards, but with all candidates.
Joe Biden is certainly a candidate of substance, as is Dodd.
It is the media that has a responsibility to profile all of the
candidates and not just the so-called frontrunners. Typically,
the media wants it to be a horse race. They spend all their
time talking about Hillary and Obama and very little on the
other candidates, most of whom are more substantive.

Maybe since he's from the south he thinks he should sound that way, even if he has to fake it.

What about when Hillary faked a southern accent? That was insulting.

Ooooh, now there is something veeerry important to the future of the USA and the entire world. John Edwards has an accent. So what? So does George W. Bush, in case you haven't noticed. So do a lot of people. There has to be something far more important than John Edwards accent or his hair for people to discuss. How does he stand on the issues or don't you worry about such unimportant things?

GW, Clinton, and many others have accents. So what? It is more important to look at their demeanor (are they 'presidential'?) and their views and opinions than a little accent. If you spent some time in the south you'd start to have one too. No biggie in my book.

This statement about letting his second grade children choose for themselves about whether they wanted to watch "King and King" was priceless.
