Step 1: Set everything in terms of y. e.g. First equation is y = 2/3 x - 8/3

Step 2: Enter the equations into the calculator. On a TI-83/84, this means hitting the "Y=" button and punching everything on the right side of the equations you made above.

Step 3: Graph the equations. This means hitting the "Graph" button. Straightforward, really.

Step 4: Zooooom. Use Zoom in, Zoom out, Zoom Fit to get the intersection point of the two lines in your window. Do this with the "Zoom" button, then select the apporpriate zoom.

Step 5: Solve for the intersection. Hit 2nd -> Trace to enter the "Calc" menu. This is perhaps the only hard part. You will need to set a left and right bound. You might not understand what it is for, since there is only one intersection, but later you will find that there are equations with infinitely more. So use your cursor to set a LEFT bound left of the intersection you see and then move over to set a RIGHT bound. Hit enter. Read the "x=" for the solution.

8 x - 12 y = 32
15 x + 12 y = 33----ADD
23 x = 65
x = 65 /23

325 / 23 + 4y = 11
4 y = 253 / 23 - 325 / 23
4 y = - 72 / 23
y = - 18 / 23

x = 65 / 23 , y = - 18 / 23

Sorry, but I don`t own a graphic calculator----times are hard !

Solve each equation so that Y= something
then on the calculator press the y= key at the top left hand corner, enter both equations and press 2nd (the yellow key), then graph (top right hand corner)

Sure you're not taking exams at this moment? :)
There are several types/model of graphing calcu so its difficult to answer you query.
I see that you are very intimidated by math.. you don't have to.
I suggest you ask your teacher, if he/she is dedicated, she/he'll be glad to help. Or ask you classmates who are good at math. and practice more.
I did not answer your question, but I hope my advice helps.
