Well, in a society where the female body is still lauded above a man's body although the males are catching up a little we in the United States live in a sex obsessed culture where males are still in charge of most of the cultural mores. In other words we live in a patrician society and thus the male population in a lot of areas still says what is culturally acceptable but the female population is gaining .
