HELL NO!!
That is just a way of keeping the "door" open so they can go back & forth.
I'm going through that right now!! "Let's be friends, can I call u?, do u have 2 be so mad?" That's all sad-faced-clown language for : "Make sure i can fcuk u anytime I want and don't have the responsibility to remember your birthday, christmas, go on dates, buy u dinner, etc."
Its a cop out!!! Don't buy into it!! RUN!!

No, they never mean it... they just feel that it is letting you go at ease. When the girl thinks they will "still be friends" for some reason they still have hope and the guy thinks it won't hurt them as much. Because it's not like the girl feels like she is loosing him forever. Trust me, you do not want to be friends with your ex it'll just cause trouble later... when you are trying to date someone else and it's harder to get over them if they don't go a way.

Yes, I am still friends with many old flings. I don't understand how people start to hate someone who was so important to you. I guess if there was some cheating going on then it might me a problem.
Anyway when I say it I mean it.

I've found that they mean they still wanna f*ck without having the responsibility of keeping a relationship in tact. So I am not friends with any of my exes. I don't get down like that.

Yes.... but it won't be like a everyday friend...
like a friend to say hi or give each other a phone conversation once in awhile....
..
it feel great when you two talk about the past...and it make you happy for what you have done to him/her.
Make you proud of yourself.......of what kind of person you are.

it all depends on how good of friends you where before you started dating, if u just dated before you were friends, which in your next relationship i dont recamend, then u most likely will not be friends, but if yall have been bff for a long time before you dated then, while things will never be the same, you will probebly still be auqward friends.

Besides, knowing how guys can be, they expect the ex-girlfriends to come running to their bed when they call them up.

I say that but the reason i break up wit a girl is b/c i hate them b/c of something they did so usually were not friends after a break up

I'm sure some of them really do- I broke up with a boyfriend and we're still friends. sometimes people just work out better as friends

yeah they do mean it but they just want you as a friend with benefits. they think that just because you have slept with him before you wont mind later even if you guys are not together. men a nasty like that
