YES at least three years are required. You can take the MCAT and apply. However, competition in the US for medical schools is FIERCE and most people will have a 4-year degree, making your chances of getting in slim.

Good Luck

The minimum requirements for admission to a US medical school are completion of the prerequisite courses, the MCAT and the accumulation of 90 semester hours.

Passing the MCAT is not a guarantee of acceptance into a medical school. On paper, you could appear to be an outstanding candidate (high grades, high scores, etc.) and not get into any medical school. Part of the admission process is an interview and the admission committee makes a determination whether an applicant possesses the qualities and capabilities of becoming a good physician. Many applicants don't.

It is technically possible to get into medical school after three years of college (I know someone who did it) -- but it is rare.

Medical schools want the best students. Those with a four year degree will, on average, be better prepared for medical school than those without a four year degree.

I don't know about you -- but I want the most qualified people as my doctors.

No

You need to have the credits in required courses.

Now if a college allows you to pass a course by pay the fee and taking the final and they award credits, then that would count.
