I'm hoping you have reservations for the show and most especially for the Top of the World Stratosphere restaurant...that place fills up really quickly, especially on weekend eves. Don't expect to call and get a table the same day on a Friday. And expect to spend at least $75-100 for your meal there for the two of you. For the rest of your meals which will hopefully be more modest, figure about $40-50 each meal total for you both.

The , gambling budget is up to your particular tastes. The hotel cost you should already know. The standard comedy show will probably cost you about $40 per ticket. Oh and don't forget transportation costs...it costs about $15 each way to take a taxi from the downtown area (Golden Nugget) to the Strip (Stratosphere). If you have extra, a $50 shopping budget for each of you would be good.

So there ya go. Do the math above to find out what you need...and then bring double that amount if you can...unexpected expenses are common on ANY vacation. But save the second half of that somewhere in a separate section of your purse or bag to be used strictly for emergency purposes.

Realistically speaking, a comedy show @ Golden Nugget runs approx. $25-$50 (give or take), dinner @ the Stratosphere (depends on where you dine) can be $50-$150 (to be safe), Gondola rides @ the Venetian were $15/person (inside) and $12.50/person (outdoors) and gambling is $100/day minimum. Add this all up and you can spend $500-$600. Not including your hotel room for 3 nights, etc. For 3-days, I would bring approx. $500-$1000 just in case.

How much are you planning on gambling??????

You can go and to the scenic walking tour of all the hotels and not spend a penney.

You really just need money for food. If this is your first trip to Vegas, can I just say that those gondola rides are pricey about $100 if I remember correctly. Also, there is a place in Vegas called 1/2 price tickets where you can buy tickets for that day at a discount - this fills up the seats and everyones happy!

Do you already have the tickets to the show?

The gondola ride is $12.50 to $15 per person if you and your husband take the ride with two other people or $50 to $60 if you want a private ride.

Now for dinner at the Stratosphere. If you eat at Fellini's or Roxy's, you can expect to pay about $15 or less. If you eat at Top of the World, dinner per person is about $35 and up.

Gambling is a different story. You'll have to decide how much you will be comfortable spending at the casinos each day.

Try to figure out about how much your Show, dinner and gondola ride will be.

then add about 100 dollar per day per person for extras.

For gambling figure on what amount you don't mind losing. Since I'm not a big gambler, I plan on about 50 bucks a day.
I play for fun only, I know my chance of winning is small so I use it as entertainment

I always take a bit extra in case something comes up. I always can put it back in the bank when I get home.
I always seem to have that money when I leave.

Have fun!

As much as you've got.
It depends on your tastes and shopping habits. We always blow at least $1000 in a couple days, and we don't gamble.
There are much better restaurants than Top of the World at Stratosphere, if that's where you are going. Unless you just want to see the view. The food isn't so good but it is $$$$.
There is so much shopping available, and restaurants will suck your wallet dry. Shows are so much, but worth it! See a Cirque show like O or Ka; they are amazing, although tix are like $150 last I knew. Each. The gondola rides at the Venetian are about $15, the last I saw. You can easily just watch them as well, and you won't have to imagine trading the chlorine-pool/cigarette smoke smell for the other, more natural smells of Venice. The half-price ticket counter is mostly just for odd, 2nd or 3rd-rate shows, not top performers or Cirque shows, for example. There are tons of free things to do, like just walking through all the resorts. Bellagio fountains are still my favorite.

I have actually had a good time in Las Vegas for less than $100 a day. It's all about knowing where to go. I am not much of a gambler but there are tons of free attractions http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/free-attractions.html and free stuff.
