Generally speaking, this is usually an indication that your printer memory isn't enough for the job. Although your printer comes with 32 meg of DDR ram which should be enough, your 2420 printer memory is expandable to 288 meg. Try adding a little more memory like say ...another 32 meg?

If your budget doesn't include extra memory for your printer, you can always step away from the printer while it does the printing job and come back later after it has done it's thing.

you can't. it's probably just the printer getting updates from it's buffer. you could try to send smaller page jobs, or you could just live with it.

call hp if you really are concerned
