I am a man of honor, and have no problem taking my medicine. I am a life long, never say die bears fan and must admit that the season is probally over for the bears. The only joy I may have left this season is trying to beat the packers the two games we play them. The way thing look though, I am probally going to be in for not only a long season but also I long game against the packers. I will take responsibillity for what I said, I said earlier that I thought the bears would finish between 12-4 to 13-3 this year and also said the bears had the best defense I have seen in many years. I cant stand people that make excuses for a teams wins and losses, and I never do, so this next statement is not an excuse for the bears wins and losses in any way. Every team in the NFL has injuries so using them as an excuse for wins and loses is lame, but I made my comment about the bears defense prior to all the injuries to it, they are missing 4 of 4 DB's, 1 of 3 LB's, and all 4 DL have been injured. There defense was pretty good prior to the injuries so I don' t think my comment about their defense was too far off base. My comment about their record was though, they will be lucky to finish the opposite of what I said, 3-13 or 4-12 would look good at this point. So, how bout them cubs ;)

P.S. I dont agree with repeat offender though, I dont think the bears were "lucky" to make it to the superbowl last year, you dont win 13 games with "luck" There special teams are playing and scoring as much this year so far as they did last year so thats not luck. Everyone has to admit, bears fan or not, Hester is just plain amazing. Like stated previously, almost their entire starting defense is injured so you can't use this year to justify last year as "lucky". I would never use it as an excuse for there wins and losses this year, but you can't use it to compare this year to last year either. He said the reason for their losses is because they are not scoring as many defensive and special teams tds this year, that is not true. First, they are scoring as many special teams tds, second, the reason they are losing this year is two reasons. First, their defense is giving up around 30 points a game this year compared to around 16 points a game last year, thats twice as many. Second, Grossman started off last year with 3 out of his first 4 games with 100+ passer ratings, obvioulsy this year he is showing his true self. Those are the reasons the bear are loosing, not because there defense isn't scoring as much. I wish that was the reason, I think the bears scored 7 defensive tds last year, so if thats all they need this year to be a 13-3 team again that would be great. Unfortunately, I think that probally isnt the case though, this year the bears are just not a good team all around.

Let me start off by saying that I am a HUGE Packers fan, thusly I really hate the Bears.

The Bears have some serious injury issues. They had 4 starting defensive players out yesterday, which is never a good thing, but it is even worse when you are playing one of the top offenses in football. The Bears showed a lot of improvement on offense and they will only get better. The defense will also get better as they get healthy.

Do I think the Bears are the best team in the NFC, not even close (in my mind the Packers will be the best team until they lose). Do I think the Bears can get healthy and make it to the playoffs....easily.

you know i have to rub it in a little cuz my family moved down here from san antonio tx and they moved to Chicago and became bears fans and im the only one that stayed a cowboys fan and for the cowboys to beat the bears was great it made my day for the rest of the year. my family was talking all this crap that the bears were gonna win and beat the cowboys, well their pretty quite now and not saying nothing. and i love it and now the loss from Detroit well its getting better and better. the bears should just go back to hibernating and don't come out till they get a new quarterback and ask them selves are we ever gonna win an other Superbowl again? not for a long while!

Veterinary medicine school has a short course on shaving bears among other critters as part of Zoo and Circus care studies. the bears and wolves get a doped snack first to get them sleepy, a bit of tranking if needed as in a injury where critter won't eat first. Sheep shears first, then a beard razor and a gynie razor if needed. tattoos can then be applied for marking or the torn skin can then be stitched and/or superglued together. in case of a bone break the skin needs a shave before a wrap and cast put on. Scotch Ox and Yaks, Musk Ox are other critters with coat problems for treating.

It's more of reality set in. Bears fans were starting to go overboard with how good their team was. I thought they were lucky to make the Super Bowl last year with that offense. They got a lot of lucky special teams and defensive TDs that won them games. They aren't getting those as much this year, so they're losing. Go figure.

Good question, It's awful quiet out there, where is that young man that talked about how bad the Bears were gonna tear up the cowboys, he was rather rude to that young lady that asked a question. So come on where you at now.

I went to the game. Probably a quarter of the fans were Bear's fans, another quarter were Tiger's fans, and the other half were cautiously optimistic Lion's fans. It sucks to be a Lion's fan because history proves you can never REALLY celebrate.
