I have a 75 gallon aquarium with a Tetratec pf500 external filter. It works great at keeping my water clear, but its soooooooo noisy!!! I've had it for about 2 years, and its been an on-going problem. I was wondering if there was something wrong with just my filter or if anyone else has had problems with noise??

There shouldn't be a noice
there are several reasons it might make lot's of noice
one of them beeing that your waterlevel is too low
another one beeing that your magnet doesn't sit right in your filter

And also, you should exchange your filter cartridges only every 4-6 weeks and not every 2 weeks

Hope that helps
Good luck

Two possible answers. A peice of gravel/pebble or other similar item has been sucked into the impellor or the impellor has broken and a peice is being rubbed about.
I have an Ehiem 2070 and have had both problems previously.

yes ...i do smile .....and that smile is from the heart .....it can be called a reflex action because u don't know why the other person is smiling and you don't even intend to smile but then also you smile....its something sudden ...and when you see someone special smiling the smile becomes bigger .
