curious as to when they are announced. i assume it's before the world series since playoff's aren't supposed to have any effect on the voting (as far as i know).
also who do people think will win each award in the AL and NL.

November, usually the two weeks before Thanksgiving. Typically the announcements are made thusly:
Monday: Rookies
Tuesday: one CYA
Wednesday: managers
Thursday: other CYA
following Monday: one MVP
Tuesday: other MVP

Unlike the hockey awards, where everyone is done at the same time, baseball awards are done in phases one week after the playoffs end.
They usually do the Rookie of the Years on week, Cy Youngs the next (usually Managers as well), then MVPs.
I would prefer a year end awards presentation my self.
For whom I think I would vote for, I would go for
AL ROY - Delmon Young
AL MVP - Grady Sizemore (yes, I am the only one on the planet that doesn't think that Rodriguez is the most valuable to his team)
AL Cy Young - CC Sabathia
NL ROY - Ryan Braun
NL MVP - Prince Fielder
NL Cy Young - Jake Peavy

The voting is done right after the season, but the results aren't announced until after the playoffs.
