ive just recently turned 19, and ive been smoking since i was 15...but far from often...i started smoking once every month or so when my mate would bring over a ciggarette...i slowly started smoking more as my friends got into it....at this current rate id say id probably be smoking about 4 ciggies a week on average but it depends if i go out or not...many weeks i do not smoke at all...could this be effecting my health substantially such as my height for example...also i never ever have urges to go out and buy my own packet...but i wont lie i do enjoy smoking the odd ciggarrette with my beer but is that a good sign that i dont buy them myself or get urges?? thanks

yeah i knwo it will **** me up in the long run...but ive heard if u smoke hard out for 2 years or osmehting then quit u will make a full recovery...is this true

Smoking less is better than smoking more, but not smoking at all is much, much to be preferred.

Smoking hard for two years WILL effect you health! You would be at increased risk for dying from smoking related diseases for 10-15 years, and you might never get full lung capacity back. Plus if you smoke hard for two years, you will be addicted and will probably never stop. Just quit now. You are not really addicted much yet, but if you keep it up, you will become addicted -- every smoker thinks they can "quit anytime" until they try it.

Find some less deadly way to enjoy yourself. Smoking makes you smell bad, which is a big turnoff for girls. And society views smokers as losers; many places will not hire anyone if they smell smoke on his clothing. Chances are that if you smoke, you think of YOURSELF as a loser, and that is very sad. Cancer is the worst part about smoking, but there are lots of other downsides as well. Just stop while you can!

At the current rate per day and length of time you've been smoking, you probably have done very little damage to your health - so little you probably wouldn't really notice it.

The problem with smoking (and I just quit after years) is that time catches up with you. At 19, I would have laughed at anyone who told me that I would be smoking at 25. I was too smart for that. I'm 47, and just stopped. The clock runs much faster than you realize.

The incidence rates of extremely light smokers and non-smokers for lung cancer, emphysema, etc. are virtually identical. You're probably not damaging your health in a measurable way.

However, you are probably opening the door to future urges and addiction, especially since you've already identified one of the cigarettes-go-with activities and made the mental connection. You may find yourself craving a cigarette every time you're out for a beer, and that's a slippery slope to be on.

Maybe you're still not addicted to it or maybe cigarettes are just too expensive. They maybe fun, but they're not good for your health in the long run. I say quit smoking now for a better future.

Smoking is not good for your health. It will harm your respiratory system and some other organs to. Your lung will be turned into black rotten roasted barbeque meat. I am not trying to joke with you, this is serious, I saw a photo of one dead lung taken out of dead smoker's body before and this was how it looked like.

yes,,,,everything you are intake in ur body will always affect your body..if can try reduce or not smoke anymore...
