What's the worst remake of a song you've heard?

It drives me crazy when people remake songs -- Madonna's version of "American Pie," anyone? Also, that God-awful punk version of "Boys of Summer"?

I just wondered if this annoyed anyone else, and if it does, what's the remake that grates on your nerves the MOST?

Has to be Shirley Basseys rendition of Pinks "Get the Party Started" ... ral wrist slashing stuff
