the reason why i asked was I did have a dell e1505 and I had to send it back, and they sent me this one.

it is 2.8 ghz total which is decent the best out there is about 4.0ghz I have two computers that are 2.2 ghz and 2.4 ghz so I would call you computer better than average...

fast enough for home use but with the extra 4 g it should sing like a canary

Pretty decent performer but awesome if you overclock it to 3.0ghz or higher. Perhaps like this one from my idol:

yes its a good one.
you do know 4GB of memory will only show up on 64bit OS.
