The rainbow is often seen nowadays anywhere that there are homosexuals. They proudly display it as their sign. But, I'm sure that you remember that the rainbow is the Sign of the Covenant in Genesis between God and His people that He would never destroy the world with flood again. Why did He destroy the world in the first place? Because of the depravity of the people on earth. As a matter of fact, Noah and his family were the only ones that God saw fit to save. So the very sign that God used to make a promise that He would not destroy it by flood again because of people's depravity is being used by the depraved people as their sign! And I do not care what you say about me saying that the homosexuals are depraved, because they are! So get over it! This is really grossly ironic and it is almost like slapping God in the face! "Here's your sign and I am going to use it as my sign so that everyone will know that I am gay!" Fellow Christians, do you see what I am saying?

And this really shows that we truly are in the end times. Because in the End times more and more things become accepted people start mocking God and "slapping Him in the face" more and more!

It doesn't really bother me. I don't think that they use it as a way to be insulting to God or to Christians.

I don't take offense to it. Just my opinion.

This is a very broad question. Atheism literally means 'without god' and since most human acts of devastation have been in the name of one god or another, this would suggest that they are less harmful than people with a religion. If you think about it in a more abstract way, atheism promotes free thinking and the choice to believe what you want without the hindrance of someone telling you what is correct without any evidence. In this way, many religions actually promote ignorance over knowledge. (The reasoning behind this lays with early society humans trying to form a manageable society that functions well together. Religion is a very effective way to do this, hence why there are so many similarities between them). So depending on what you mean by harm, in early human society atheism could have been more detrimental to the progression of the human race but in recent times (the last 150 years or so) religion is losing its place in modern society.

You do realize that the homosexual use of the rainbow may have nothing to do with its association with the flood? Symbols are fluid across time, for example the skull and crossbones was at one time a christian symbol to remind them that life is transitory. The five pointed star was a symbol of the 5 wounds of Christ or the 5 knightly virtues, but was popularized in the 1950 - 60's as a symbol for the devil.

In all fairness, I think the rainbow as a symbol relates back to the concentration camps when gays wore a lavender triangle, Jews wore the yellow star and I assume other "dissidents" had other markings. They simply have taken a mark of persecution and made it a symbol of all that suffered.

ms. melancholy, this is a very interesting observation about the rainbow. I did not know that the gay people were using it. We are truly living in the last days of this earth's history. You are right in saying that the people are becoming more and more depraved and more bold and defiant toward God just as they were before the flood! The end is nearer than we thought! Thank you for your thoughtful post! :)

NBM: please read Romans 1:24-27 and Leviticus 18:22.

Yes,
And there is nothing that I would add to what u said.
Oh, I'm quite sure I can, it's an expression,
of agreement.
It is disgusting!
I have thought that myself,
"how disgustingly ironic, that,
that would be the symbol they use."
It is a Slap in the Face of God!
They should use the "ankh,"
it is a symbol of phallic worship after all.

They will receive their just reward in full!
Believe it!
As will we all.
We are near the end of this system of things.

edit: what beauty4ashes said,
"Satan loves to mock God."
So, very true!

I see what you are saying and I made this correlation some time ago. satan loves to mock God and will do it whatever way he can. The even sadder thing is, these poor people don't even realize that he is manipulating them to do what he wants them to do. We are in the Last Days. he knows his time is short, so he wants to take as many people to hell with him as he possibly can. All I can advise you to do is pray for their hearts that they would be receptive to the gospel and avoid hell.

God/Reality cannot be slapped in the face. It is not a daddy-deity concerned with human sexual proclivities nor making rainbows for a metaphorical Noah. The 'story of the flood' has more psychological significance that you understand. However, your obsessive concern with others sexual behavior shows that you have some conflictedness that requires healing. I would pray about it if I were you.

Nobody owns a symbol of nature. If we want to use the rainbow as a meaningful symbol, we will do so, just as it's OK if anybody else wants to use it. I don't know why loving believers are so upset with it anyway, since they won't be here for much longer.

GOD says -----
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

GOD loves everyone, no matter what color, gay, straight, christian or not. He loves all of us the same. HE created each one of us and wants us to know we all have been redeemed from the curse of the law and sin through his Son, JESUS.

No one has a right to judge anyone else, but our CREATOR, GOD, who reigns in Heaven. I would be careful about what you post, because GOD does speak about mockers in HIS word. HIS word is truth and life and sharper than any double-edged sword.....

I agree with you. I have actually thought about that when I first heard that homosexuals were using that as "their" sign. It is sickening and just trust God is watching. It's not Christians judging...It's God...remember Sodom and Gomorrah...Just the facts.

God Bless
